Baby it's cold outside

Still not much going on here... There has been a blizzard all day and it has been so nice to be able to stay inside and enjoy the nice warm house. Trevor headed out to shovel up a bit so that it's not so bad once it stops snowing, but that's the furthest anyone has gone from our house today.

I have the body of my purple sweater done. I just need to get a circular needle to do the sleeves. I really like that this sweater is one piece and I won't have seams. I don't like seams in my knitting projects. I don't think I'm very good at them and they end up being too bulky. I know I should practice that more, but not right now. So, since my sweater is on hold, I brought out some yarn I had from before and is doing some small gifts for Christmas presents.

Brooklyn is doing so well in school. She has started double digit addition and is doing very well at it. No carrying of number yet, but I know that when it's time to learn that, she'll do great!

Samantha amazes me everyday with her memory. We have a TAG pen and if you push a certain button it play a little tune and then asks you to push it again to hear a story, and then it starts in on The Cat in the Hat. Well, Samantha was reciting this today... with the little jingle and everything. She doesn't say all of The Cat in the Hat.. but can say up to the first page. I think she is so funny and can't wait to see where this memory will take her.

Rebecca is constantly cracking us up. Her voice is so cute and she just seems to say the right things to make you do what she wants you to do. One example is that when we come downstairs in the morning I sit her on the couch and start to walk away. She ALWAYS says, "Cuddle me, Mommy." It's just so cute, how can I do anything, but sit down and cuddle her? She hugged Brooklyn today and said, "My friend". Just TOO CUTE!!! I will try and get a good video of her and post it. (And the other girls, too!)

The girls are very excited about Christmas. All of our decorations are up. This is going to sort of be our first year to start some family traditions, and I'm really looking forward to it. I would like to plan something fun to do Christmas Eve, but we're still deciding. I'm really looking forward to Christmas morning and watching the girls open their presents.

I'm glad things are going so well with school, it's such an exciting time to see them soak it all up.

I would LOVE to see some pictures of the sweater....in progress. Mine is on hiatus yet again, this time because I'm missing one pesky stitch. AHHHHHHH!
