2 Cor. 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

These are some of my favorite verses. I know that I haven't seen any troubles that equal what the writer experienced, but these verses are still for me. When things are going rough, or I've just had a tough day, I know that there is a purpose. I know that God will renew me when I ask. And I'm working towards something that is greater than I could ever imagine. So, I look to God, whom I can't see, because He is eternal.
