My Mom has been there for me through everything. She drove me to every piano lesson, every voice lesson, and was there for every concert, school play, and was always ready to go for coffee afterwards. God gave us a relationship that can never be broken. Stronger than most Mother-Daughter relationships. And since I became a mother, it only got stronger. Probably because my understanding of how she felt really came about. Through the years we've shared a love of old movies, coffee, shopping, going for coffee, and drinking coffee. She knew the way to get me to open up was to get a cup of coffee in me. A lot has changed over the years, and we may be far apart, but I still feel that connection. I miss not being able to go out with her, or have her come over and help me with my quilt. But we're always able to talk on the phone, and that's better than nothing. I cherish every moment we have together and always wish it would last longer. God gave me a loving, caring, nurturing mother and in the process, taught me how to be a mother. Happy Birthday Mom! I hope you have a great day and I can't wait until September.
