Another Brooklyn story
At supper yesterday Brooklyn was talking about her favorite Ducky. She told us he's a Christian, and he doesn't have a mom and dad. So I said he was an orphan. Then she was talking a little more and said that he's also a Canarian (Canadian). So cute!

My little smarty
Brooklyn just asked me if O.F.F. means stop. She saw it on a switch on the bottom of a toy. So cute! Could she BE any smarter?

This is dedicated to the one I love
I have the most wonderful husband in the world, so I feel the need to brag for a moment. Not only did he let me stay at my parents house without him, he cleaned the whole house from top to bottom before I got back. Here is a list of things he did.
- washed the dishes
- wiped the counter
- washed the floors by hand
- washed all the cupboard doors and appliances
- cleaned the main floor bathroom
- vacuumed all the floors
- washed the walls
- cleaned and vacuumed the upstairs hall
- cleaned and vacuumed our bedroom
- cleaned the bathroom upstairs (including the tub and shower)
- cleaned off the desk
- vacuumed the living/playroom
- cleaned the back entrance
Not only did he do all this, but he wants to send me to the spa. And, he's taking me on the riverboat in the near future. God blessed me with a great husband, and I just needed to acknowledge it.
Praise the Lord
I will get to our trip when I have a minute, but right now I need to tell you about what happened the other day. On Sunday the 6th around 12pm I was putting my cross necklace on and Brooklyn started asking me about it. I told her that to me, it means that I'm a Christian and that Jesus lives in my heart. We contiuned on this conversation for a minute and I almost walked away from it, but I felt a leading from the Holy Spirit to contiune on with it. So, as we talked about what it meant to have Jesus in your heart and I told her that if she wanted to pray with me, that Jesus would come into her heart. She wanted to, and it was amazing. I never knew how it would feel. I cried. Grandma sort of over heard our conversation and I'm pretty sure she teared up too.

Mounties on Duty
This was a very eventful morning. The girls, Dad and I went out to the new RCMP museum. It's pretty neat and the girls had fun. There was a spot where they got to try on the jackets and hats. Pretty cool. I found the gift shop very expensive, but wanted to get little stuffed animals for the girls and a T-shirt for Trevor. When we got to the car, I noticed Rebecca had swiped another stuffed animal! And chewed on the hat so I wouldn't have been able to return it. Good thing Dad had the great idea that I should return her other one and then buy the one she chewed up. At least it was cheaper. It would have really been bad if she'd chosen a more expensive one! Oh well. It all worked out.
After the museum we went to the mall downtown. It was fun, but a lot of walking for the big girls. And too bad we didn't find anything. Then it was off to great-grandma's house to see how she's doing. She's doing much better and we're very thankful for that. A couple days ago she had a bad case of brusitis in her knee. She's still in pain, but obviously doing better.
Now, all the girls are napping and I'm taking advantage of that. What should I do? Make a no-bake cheesecake? Since it's 31degrees here. Read my book? Have a nap? I think I'll read my book first and then see what happens. Maybe I'll fall asleep, or maybe I'll want to make the cake. My feet and back are sore from walking so much.. so I'm going to relax on the couch!

What's going on
Just an update as to what we've been up too. Friday we just hung out with Mom and Dad. On Saturday, Mom and I got some shopping done and again, relaxed. On Sunday we went to church and then for lunch with our long time friends, and apparently family. We found out that my Mom and Jay's Dad are 7th cousins. And then my Grandma came over for supper. Then on Monday we ... relaxed. It was very hot. Ethan came over and all the kids played in the pool. And Tuesday Dad and I drove Trevor out to Lumsden so he could catch a ride home with our friends. Now the girls and I are having fun with Grandma and Grandpa.
I've been reading a booked called Battlefield of the Mind. It's been really good for me and I hope I can put to practice what I've been reading. I seriously think that everyone should read it. It really makes you aware of your thoughts. If you've had thoughts of doubt, confusion, fear, reasoning, worry, or any other negative thoughts, this book would be for you.
I have taken lots of pictures and will post them when I get back since I didn't bring my USB cord.
